To an English speaker the noise a duck makes is so obviously “quack quack” it seems clear that the word quack, the word for the noise of a duck, will not change from language to language. This is not what happen though, different languages have different words for the noise of a duck and each one as is clearly correct to that language’s speakers. The idea of The Quack Project is to collect the word for the noise a duck makes in the languages of the world.
Email us a very short, say 20 second, video of someone, anyone, saying quack in a language not already listed below, along with the name of the language, in case it isn’t obvious to us, the written word for duck and a few words giving us permission to use the video. When we have a reasonable number collected, we will concatenate them and post the resulting video on youtube. If we get more after that, we will add them later to make a longer video.
